A insightful look into mothering children, surviving children, and a woman's life in general. Written by an in the trenches mother of three who's simply trying to dodge shrapnel and raise three fairly well adjusted human beings. Put on your flack jackets and enter the fray.

Walking in the snow
Its amazing how when we just stop, we find peace.
Okay, I'm waxing poetic now.
I walked in the snow during my lunch today.
No one else was out.
I wasn't in a hurry to be anywhere.
And I just was.
It was surreal and peaceful and perfect.
There were no children needing me, no husband wanting me, no demands, no needs, just me and my footsteps and snow softly falling on my face.
If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do.
It makes you feel the connection. You know, the one to the big out there that occasionally becomes a small, still voice in our hearts?
Yep. Good for the butt (exercise) and for the soul.
